Physical exercise is a sound requisite for a person’s sound, mental and physical health. The stress, the strain of modern day life on the one hand and the lack of physical exercise due to the use of modern gadgets and no free time, on the other, make man unhealthy. Exercise helps one to keep fit and not fall an easy prey to various ailments. Exercise is necessary for people of all ages, all castes, all occupations and all nationalities.
Physical exercises need not be very vigorous or strenuous. It is enough if it is regular. For example, walking early in the morning is good not only for one’s health but for one’s spirit too. It does immense good by toning the muscles. By breathing in the fresh morning air, one is prepared for the activities of the day and becomes mentally alert and active. The modern age is an age of advanced technology which requires less physical energy but involves a lot of mental stress. Moreover with the complications of modern day life and the rat-race which education has become, due to people’s sky-high ambition, students are tense and ever-alert, straining their nerves, their bodies and their egos.
