১) কয়লাঃ কয়লা অসমৰ অন্যতম গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ খনিজ উৎপাদন। অসমৰ প্ৰধান কয়লাক্ষেত্ৰসমূহ মাৰ্ঘেৰিটা, নাজিৰা, লংকাদমন, মাকুম, জয়পুৰ, লেডো, নামদুম ইত্যাদিত অৱস্থিত।অসমৰ মুঠ বাৰ্ষিক কয়লা উৎপাদন প্ৰায় ৬ লাখ টন।

1. Coal: Coal is one of the important mineral product in Assam. The major coalfields in Assam are situated at Margherita, Nazira, Lankadaman, Makum, Jaipur, Ledo, Namdum, etc. Total annual production of coal in Assam is about 6 lakh tones.

2. Natural Gas: Total reserve of Natural gas in Assam is estimated to be 23,000 million cubic metres. This is available at Naharkatiya, Moran, Lakuwa, Rudrasagar and some other parts of upper Assam area. Namrup fertilizer plant and Namrup gas thermal power project are the main two projects using natural gas in Assam.

৩) খাৰুৱা তেলঃ খাৰুৱা তেল অসমৰ আটাইতকৈ গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ খনিজ উৎপাদন। উত্তৰ-পূবৰ ৰাজ্যসমূহৰ ভিতৰত অসমে ভাৰতৰ খাৰুৱা তেল উৎপাদনৰ প্ৰায় ৫০% অংশ গ্ৰহণ কৰে। অসম ভাৰতীয় পেট্ৰলিয়াম উদ্যোগৰ মাতৃ। ভাৰতত প্ৰথমে অসমত পেট্ৰলিয়ামৰ আৱিষ্কাৰ হৈছিল। অসমৰ ডিগবৈতেই এছিয়াৰ প্ৰথম তেল শোধনাগাৰ আহিছিল। শিৱসাগৰ, যোৰহাট, গোলাঘাট, তিনিচুকীয়া আৰু ডিব্ৰুগড়ত খাৰুৱা তেল উপলব্ধ আৰু ইয়াৰ সংৰক্ষিত ৭০.৪৬% মিলিয়ন টন অনুমান কৰা হৈছে। অসমত নাহৰকটীয়া, মৰাণ, হুগ্ৰিজান, ৰুদ্ৰসাগৰ, গোলেকী, লাকোৱা, টেওক আৰু নাজিৰা ইত্যাদিত তেলৰ আৱৰ্জনা পোৱা যায়।

3. Crude Oil: Crude Oil is the most important mineral product of Assam. Among the north east States, Assam along shares nearly 50% of crude oil production of India. Assam is the mother of Indian petroleum industry. In India, Petroleum was first discovered in Assam. It was Digboi in Assam where the first oil refinery in Asia Came up. Crude oil is available in Sibsagar, Jorhat, Golaghat, Tinsukia and Dibrugarh and estimated a reserved of 70.46% million tonnes. Oil deposits in Assam are found in Naharkatiya, Moran, Hugrizan, Rudrasagar, Goleky, Lakwa, Teok and Nazira, etc.

4. Lime Stone : Lime stone is used as an important raw material for the production of cement Lime stone is an important mineral product of Assam. Lime stone mines in Assam are situated at Garampani and Koliajan in the district of Karbi-Anglong and North-Cachar hills. Infact Lime stone feed tyhe needs of Bokajan cement factory as well as other allied industrial units of the country by bringing huge revenue for Assam.

5. Silimanite: The Sllimanite deposits of the Nongstoin state in the Khasi hillls are World famous from the point of view of quantity and purity of the mineral. Assam is the major producer of this mineral in India and contributes more than 90% of the total production. Corundum is found to occur in association with the Sillimanite deposits. Low grade ‘quartz sillimanite schists’ also occur in same area.

6. Clay: Assam is endowed with fairly large reserves of sedimentary white clays as well as Kaolin or ‘China Clay’, which forms an important basic raw material for ceramic or refractory industries. These clays are found to occur at many places in the Garo hills, Khasi and Jaintia hills and the Mikhir hills. This clay is quite suitable for the manufacture of medium to Low-grade white wares and other ceramic products like stoneware pipes, sanitary ware, glazed tiles and bricks. The Kaolin deposit near Mawphlang is found to be as good as the Kaolin of corn wall.

7. Copper: Copper minerals occur in the Umpyrtha and Ranighat areas in the Khasi and Jaintia hills and also in the Mahamaya hills in Goalpara district.

8. Iron Ore : Occurrence of banded iron ore have been located in the chanderdinga hills and Abhayapuri areas in Goalpara district and in the Aradanga-Rangchapara areas on the border of the Kamrup and Khasi and Jaintia hills districts.

9. Glass Sands: Deposits of fine-grained, white friable sandstones has been located in the coalfields of then Laitryngew and Cherapunji areas. The friable quartzitte of the Shillong series around Shillong and the Tura sandstones of the Garo hills are suitable for manufacture of sheet glass and fruit glass after washing,
