The Ahom dynasty (1228–1826) ruled the Ahom Kingdom in present-day Assam, India for nearly 598  years.                 The Ahom Dynasty was a powerful kingdom that ruled the region of Assam in Northeast India for about 600 years, from the 13th century to the 19th century. The dynasty was founded by Sukaphaa, a prince from the Shan Kingdom in present-day Myanmar, who established his rule in the region in 1228.

The Ahom Dynasty was also known for its sophisticated political institutions, which were based on a complex system of governance known as the “Ahom Administration.” This system was characterized by a decentralized form of governance, with local officials given a high degree of autonomy.

During the reign of the Ahom kings, the kingdom also witnessed a flourishing of art, literature, and culture. The Ahom kings were patrons of the arts and were known for their support of literature, music, and dance.

                           আহোম বংশই ত্ৰয়োদশ শতিকাৰ পৰা ১৯ শতিকালৈকে উত্তৰ-পূব ভাৰতৰ অসম অঞ্চলত প্ৰায় ৬০০ বছৰ শাসন কৰিছিল। বৰ্তমানৰ ম্যানমাৰৰ শ্বান ৰাজ্যৰ এজন ৰাজকুমাৰ চুকাফাৱে এই বংশটো প্ৰতিষ্ঠা কৰিছিল আৰু ১২২৮ চনত এই অঞ্চলত নিজৰ শাসন প্ৰতিষ্ঠা কৰিছিল।
